Kalinga Bamboo Musical Instruments are deeply rooted in everyday life of Kalingas, and their simple but deep tones are truly breathtaking. However, as lifestyle has changed, influenced by globalization, the culture has faced its extinction. Edgar, a co-founder of EDAYA, is one of the only three remaining Kalinga Bamboo musical instruments maker and player. EDAYA has been dedicated to preserving, introducing, educating, and transmitting this beautiful and unique cultural heritage of Kalinga.
